Mike Plays Monk, ft. Chris Foster ----Mike Cameron Collective is back this time with a quartet featuring Thelonious Monk disciple Chris Foster on piano. Honed in the eccentric style of Monk's percussive and macabre innovation of bebop, Foster's piano playing will inspire you and dematerialize your brain cells which before thought they had a solid grasp on reality and music. The quartet will perform Monk favorites such as Ruby My Dear, Rhythm-A-Ning, and Bye-Ya, as well as original takes on his lesser played tunes. The second set will feature a trio Mike Cameron on sax, Jordan Hehl on bass and Nicholas Foster on drums playing avant-garde and free jazz.
