A native Oklahoman, Pam sang with ‘The Sammy Kaye Orchestra’ as the featured ‘girl singer’. The orchestra, based in New York City, toured the United States from coast to coast. During her time in New York she began her career in jazz when she sang with a quartet that included Duke Jordan on piano, Keeter Betts on bass, Lee Abrams on drums and Frank Capi on baritone saxophone.
